Every year, millions of people in Pakistan suffer from the harsh effects of winter. Temperatures can drop below freezing, and many people do not have adequate shelter or clothing to protect themselves. It can lead to serious health problems and even death.

Heavy rains have caused urban and flash floods, landslides, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) throughout Pakistan, most notably in Balochistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.
