In February 2025, 20 avid hikers from around the world have embarked on a transformative journey and walk the Hijrah route retracing the blessed footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the year 622 CE. Heavy rains have caused urban and flash floods, landslides, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) throughout Pakistan, most notably in Balochistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.
