Poverty is crippling, be it urban or rural. When marred with domestic issues, the battle becomes nearly impossible to win, especially when you are all alone. Maryam had found about FRDP International‘s orphan sponsorship program and wanted to register the daughters as orphans even though the father of the girls was still alive. That’s how crippling poverty was. The struggle to bring food and get education for her girls brought her to this point.

We found a better solution. Since, she was a local beautician but was struggling due to non-availability of equipment, furniture and cosmetics. We bought her furniture, chair, equipment and lots of cosmetics.

Through your empathy, we enabled her to earn a livelihood that restored her dignity and provided her economic independence.
