The struggle is for survival

The struggle for water is real in the deserts of Tharparkar, located in one of the most remote part of Pakistan, the communities struggle to quench their thirst. The struggle in the desert terrain is just not restricted to scarcity of water; the struggle for the drought struck communities is over and above. Here’s a quick documentary that depicts the issues these indigenous communities face in the search of water. The search and quest for water consists of battling hardship and injuries (at times fatal), exposing them to major protection issues, also deprives women of livelihood opportunities and children of education due to the time they have to spent in arranging water for themselves to survive; survival preceding a better livelihood, survival preceding access to education.
